March 2022 Update

Detect & Avoid

We have recently released a video on our Youtube & Social Media to announce an exciting development to our partnership with world leading UTM provider Altitude Angel. The next step in the drone operations revolution will involve flights over longer ranges, flying out of sight of the remote pilot, enabled by Detect and Avoid technology.

Thank you Altitude Angel!

Flying day

This month we welcomed students from the Coventry University Entrepreneurship programme for a flying experience with the team.

It was fantastic to meet so many creative and outgoing students, of whom we are sure to see big and great things from.

QUOTE BELOW:

“This week the #ICTE BA #Enterprise and #Entrepreneurship students were invited by #Skyfarer, for a #drone flying experience at Feldon Farms in Rugby.

#Skyfarer is a Coventry based drone technology business utilising autonomous flight technology to deliver vital medical supplies (including blood, vaccines and organs) with competitive speed and efficiency without the need for expensive infrastructure.

Our heartfelt thanks to Elliot Parnham (Engineer, Entrepreneur and Co-Founder of Skyfarer) and Georgia Hanrahan (Business and Marketing Manager) for arranging for our students to visit the site and try their hand at flying the drones.”

website update

WE'RE LIVE!

Our new website is live and looking better than ever. Make sure you take a look through and get to know the team through our "About Us" page.

Many thanks to everyone involved with the whole re-branding process, we couldn't have done it without the giant team effort and we are so proud of the brand that we are representing.

Future Flight

Regretfully, Skyfarer has received the news that we haven’t been successful in our bid to the Future Flight Challenge Phase 3.

However, we want to shout a large THANK YOU to our world class consortium for believing in the vision of our project and supporting the creation of the project idea!

The project that we presented has great potential to revolutionise medical delivery in the UK. Therefore, following feedback, we will review and develop for an optimised submission for future endeavours.

A huge congratulations to our partners and to the other successful applicants of this challenge, we really look forward to seeing your revolutionary ideas come to life.

BBC

This month we had a visit from Jo at BBC World Service Business News to our test site, to present our work and story so far.

A podcast focused on drones in Healthcare will be published in the coming month and we look forward to hearing the end result.
