    To support our growing portfolio, we are looking for part-time Data Analysts to process and analyse drone-captured data, generating insights for our clients. This flexible role is ideal for university students (including international students with part-time working rights) or experienced professionals with spare availability and strong data processing skills.

    Role Overview

    As a Part-Time Data Analyst, you will support the processing, analysis, and visualisation of drone-captured data. This data includes high-resolution imagery, geospatial information, and 3D models used for infrastructure inspection, land surveying, agriculture, and surveillance projects.

    This is a remote-friendly, flexible hours role suited for those looking to gain hands-on experience in data analytics, GIS, photogrammetry, and drone technology.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Process drone-captured data (imagery, LiDAR, photogrammetry, video, thermal imaging).

    • Analyse and interpret data for various industries, including infrastructure, agriculture, and environmental monitoring.

    • Use data visualisation tools (GIS software, CAD, or cloud-based platforms) to create reports and insights for clients.

    • Ensure data accuracy and quality before submission to clients.

    • Work collaboratively with the Skyfarer team to improve data workflows and automation.

    • Stay up to date with the latest data processing techniques and best practices in drone analytics.

    Required Skills & Experience

    We are looking for candidates with experience or interest in:

    • Data Processing & GIS Tools: Experience with Pix4D, Agisoft Metashape, QGIS, ArcGIS, CloudCompare, Autodesk ReCap, or similar tools.

    • 3D Modelling & Photogrammetry: Knowledge of creating and interpreting 3D models from drone data is a plus.

    • Data Analytics & Visualisation: Strong skills in Excel, Python (Pandas, NumPy), Power BI, or Tableau for data-driven insights.

    • Image & Video Processing: Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, OpenCV, or machine learning tools for image analysis is beneficial.

    • Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure data accuracy, proper labelling, and quality control.

    • Flexible Availability: Willing to work on-demand, as projects require (ideal for students or professionals with flexible schedules).

    Bonus Points For:

    • Experience in drone operations or drone data analysis.

    • Understanding of GIS mapping and remote sensing techniques.

    About Skyfarer LTD

    Skyfarer LTD is pioneering the future of medical drone logistics. As part of a new initiative, we are launching a new project, in collaboration with key industry partners, that will set new standards in Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) drone operations and automated logistics infrastructure.

    We are actively looking to hire a Mechatronics and Software Engineer who can start as soon as possible to support this initiative and other ongoing projects. Alongside this, we are also developing our own proprietary software solutions, which will require additional technical expertise, offering a diverse and exciting role for the right candidate.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Robotics & Automation Development: Design and implement robotic mechanisms for autonomous payload handling, loading, and unloading.

    • Mechatronics System Integration: Develop and integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components for drone docking and handling systems.

    • Software Engineering: Develop embedded software and control algorithms for robotic systems and drone communication interfaces.

    • Prototyping & Testing: Build and test proof-of-concept systems, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance for real-world deployment.

    • Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external partners, including Altitude Angel and MarchantCain, to develop seamless automated solutions.

    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure systems comply with aerospace and healthcare logistics regulations.

    • Data & Performance Analysis: Implement monitoring solutions for real-time tracking and system optimization.

    • Software Development: Support Skyfarer’s proprietary software development activity, contributing to various software engineering tasks beyond the ESA project.

    • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain technical documentation, system architecture designs, and contribute to project progress reports.

    Essential Qualifications & Skills

    • Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

    • Experience in robotics, automation, or autonomous systems development.

    • Strong software development skills in Python, C++, or ROS (Robot Operating System).

    • Experience with embedded systems and microcontroller programming.

    • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical system design, including actuators, sensors, and motion control.

    • Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping, 3D printing, and hardware integration.

    • Understanding of computer vision, AI, or machine learning for automation applications is a plus.

    • Experience with cloud-based IoT platforms, data logging, and analytics is desirable.

    • Ability to work independently, solve complex technical challenges, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

    Role Overview:

    As a Remote Pilot, you will be directly involved in the flight operations of our unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for a range of commercial projects across the UK. From infrastructure inspections to environmental monitoring, your role will ensure safe, compliant, and professional delivery of drone-based services to our clients.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and conduct drone operations safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations.

    • Hands-on experience flying multi-rotor drones (DJI, Parrot, or similar platforms).

    • Ability to perform pre-flight checks, risk assessments, and post-flight reporting.

    • Attention to detail, professional conduct, and client-facing communication skills.

    • Flexible availability to support project-based work as required.

    Bonus Points For:

    • Experience in commercial drone operations (infrastructure, agriculture, surveying, or similar).

    • Additional certifications – BVLOS, thermal imaging, or specialist payload operation.

    As a Visual Observer, you’ll play a critical role in supporting our Commercial and BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) drone operations across the country. Working closely with our Remote Pilots, you will ensure the safe, compliant, and effective execution of missions, acting as the pilot’s eyes on the ground.

    This role is ideal for reliable, safety-conscious individuals with flexible availability, who enjoy working outdoors and travelling nationwide.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Act as a Visual Observer to maintain situational awareness and visual contact with the drone during flight operations, including BVLOS trials.

    • Conduct on-site safety assessments, airspace monitoring, and public engagement when necessary.

    • Support pilots with pre-flight checks, risk assessments, and equipment setup.

    • Accurately complete and maintain flight logs and reporting documentation.

    • Communicate clearly with pilots and operations teams to ensure safe airspace integration.

    • Work independently and professionally during solo deployments nationwide.

    • Maintain knowledge of airspace restrictions, local hazards, and changing weather conditions.

    Required Skills & Experience:

    • Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle – travel is essential (nationwide).

    • Comfortable working outdoors in varied environments and conditions.

    • Strong communication skills, confidence engaging with the public and stakeholders.

    • Ability to follow aviation safety protocols and detailed instructions precisely.

    • Flexible availability to support on-demand operations, including early mornings or late evenings.

    • Comfortable lone working in remote locations as needed.

    • Detail-oriented with strong situational awareness.

    Bonus Points For:

    • Previous experience as a Visual Observer or supporting drone/UAS operations.

    • Knowledge of airspace classifications, aviation regulations, or CAA requirements.

    • Awareness of BVLOS operations and the unique challenges they present.

    • First Aid certification or health & safety qualifications.

    • Technical knowledge of drones, sensors, or communications equipment.
