Transplant sport
The Birmingham Adult Transplant Sport Team thoroughly enjoyed themselves in this year's Westfield Health British Transplant Games in Leeds.
Many golds, silvers and bronze medals were won from the Birmingham team, but the most rewarding of all was coming home with the Transplant Sport Ross Taylor Trophy. This was presented to the team at the Gala event, more commonly known as The Rose Bowl.
A huge congratulations to everyone that participated and thank you for opening up your sport family to the Skyfarer team.
We can’t wait to see you all compete in next year’s games located in the #homeofthedrone Coventry City!

Automated skies event
“The UK is set to become home to the world's largest automated drone superhighway within the next two years”
- BBC News
As a part of the Skyway Lunch this month, our partner Altitude Angel hosted the Automated Skies Event. This event brought together consortium partners and stakeholders to demonstrate AA’s new ARROW platform and to discover how we, as operators, have integrated this technology to its fullest potential.

regional ECONOMIC growth event
The West Midlands Growth Company invited Skyfarer to exhibit at their Regional Economic Growth Event this month.
It was fantastic to speak to the men and women creating businesses that are focused on boosting the economy in the West Midlands and discovering how the WMCA intends to support those doing so.
The West Midlands Combined Authority's Plan for Growth aims to bridge a £3.9 billion gap in the economy by 2030 and restore the region to its pre-pandemic position as the fastest growing English region outside London.
It would deliver 45,000 new high-value jobs.

droneprep
This month, our Flight Operations team demonstrated our operational capabilities and procedures to land owners and stakeholders based on a flooding response scenario.
In an event hosted by our partners DronePrep, we were given an opportunity to demonstrate how safe and effective it is to utilise drone technology in these types of events.
This demonstration consisted of taking off from an open field, flying around the flooded area as a surveillance drill and landing on a small island that was surrounded by water, before taking off again and returning back to our take-off point.
We then engaged with stakeholders to determine how this technology can be adapted into their daily or adhoc practices as well as gauge perception and understanding, which concluded to be very positive.
